Serving in Costa Rica & Elouisa Turns 1

Elouisa's birthday & Traveling to a new country.

Elouisa is 1! It’s so crazy to think that we’ve spent a whole year with Elouisa already. Parenthood has truly been such a fun and amazing adventure! Through all the typical challenges and ups and downs of taking care of a baby, the joy absolutely supersedes the trials.

My (Jordan’s) work in Communications has been opening some really cool doors in YWAM internationally. Last month I had the exciting privilege to go to San Jose, Costa Rica to run a communications seminar. As you may have read earlier this year, I was invited to run a communications training week in Tyler, Texas which was the start of a new season for me in connecting and growing YWAM as a whole.

While some of what I do may be hard to explain and a little confusing; the heart of it all is about using modern forms of communication to call people into missions.

The YWAM base in Costa Rica reminded me a lot of where we (YWAM Mazatlan) were 3 years ago, hungry to grow but lacking the tools and direction to see significant growth. It was exciting to be able to use what we’ve learned and pass it on to see their base better equipped to call others into missions work. This trip was back in July. We actually just returned from another trip, this time as a family, to Costa Rica for a YWAM international conference and follow up work with the communications team. (But more on that, plus photos to come in our next update!)

The more I see the growth on our base, and others around the world, the more I believe God is using us to make a huge impact on fulfilling the Great Commission.

Below is a photo of Kendra and a few of the young ladies from the girls home, sitting together as they wait for church to start. We continue taking them to church every Sunday and love this precious time with them. It has been amazing to see how they’ve become a part of the family, playing with and caring for Elouisa like she’s their little sister.

Thanks for reading and taking part in God’s work here in Mexico and around the world. We feel so blessed and are excited for what’s to come!
