YWAM Ships Mazatlan

Written by Kendra | Jul 22, 2016 9:01:27 PM

An exciting new ministry is underway here in Mazatlan! Below is a photo of The Amazing Grace, the newest member of our YWAM Ships ministry. YWAM Ships Mazatlan exists to bring hope to the most isolated and least reached communities on the islands and coast lands of Mexico and the Pacific Rim. There are many places that we are not able to reach by plane, or easily bring supplies to without the use of a boat or ship. We will be able to use this ship to travel to those areas, bringing physical and medical relief, while sharing the Gospel at the same time.

Here are some photos of our ship that is getting ready to make its trip from San Francisco to Mexico!

The ship is currently undergoing a few repairs before its arrival. We would love your prayers for our friends Dori and Ikaika who will be leading this ministry, and for all of us here at YWAM Mazatlan as we support and help out as needed. Jordan and I will continue in our normal roles, but hope to be able to help out with the ships ministry when we’re able as well. We will keep you updated as things continue moving forward and as we see how God begins using this ship!

For Jordan and I specifically, things have been going well with ministry and life as we prepare for baby girl to arrive in a few short weeks! She is due August 11th, (3 weeks away!) and we can hardly wait! Here is the most recent belly photo we have from before heading out to the soccer club ministry for the afternoon. I am certainly feeling ready to pop any day now, but am overall feeling well and healthy and ready for baby to arrive!

A few prayer requests we have this month are –

  • Prayers for everything to go smoothly when it’s time for baby’s delivery. She will be born here in Mazatlan at a local clinic. We’d also love wisdom and grace for Jordan and I in the first few weeks and months of parenthood!
  • Prayer for Jordan in his role leading the communications and marketing department. Prayer for wisdom and strategy and also for strength to carry the responsibilities that come with it.
  • Prayer for the girls at the home I (Kendra) serve at. I will be less involved in the immediate weeks following baby’s birth, and would love prayers for the girls during that time, and also prayers for a smooth transition back with them after my maternity leave.

Thank you for reading and keeping up with a little of what’s going on here in Mazatlan and our service here. Thank you for being a part of missions in Mexico through us. We are blessed to be able to be a blessing to others!

— Much love from the three of us —
