Verano de Fuego is similar to a month-long summer camp we run here once a year. For these first two weeks, we have 35 kids from the ages of 13-20 packed in and joining life with us here at YWAM Mazatlan. This year we actually had to have a cut off because so many were interested and we ran out of room! The majority of these kids are Mexican, which is super exciting, because of our HUGE heart for Mexico and Mexicans!!! For these two weeks (which we are in the middle of as we speak!) the youth dive deep into the word, and receive heaps of teaching and direction. For some of them this is discipleship they have never received before. A few specific subjects the youth are taught on include… fear of the lord, relationships, sexual identity, hearing the voice of God and so on. We’re so happy, blessed and blown away to share back this praise report from last week! With the costs of Visas nearly doubling this year, and the cost of an international training workshop we’ll be attending in September, we were feeling slightly overwhelmed with needing to raise just under $2000. BUT, once again we are sitting here asking ourselves… “**Why do we ever doubt  our God!?**” After about a week, we had seen half of the money come in, but still had quite a bit that we needed to raise. After much prayer and getting in touch with some friends, family, and our home church in Pennsylvania… the remaining amount was given and our need was met in full…. Not to mention a few generous friends who offered to give amounts above and beyond our request! All of this to say, we truly serve an awesome God who is able to do more abundantly than all that we ask or think. Thank you for all who gave and who were battling with us in prayer. God is faithful to provide for all of our needs… and all of yours too. Be encouraged with us that we really do serve a MIGHTY God!
